Figuring Things Out

It looks like we may be refinancing the house to get our debt liposucted. Liposucked?

Rate’s even going down a half point for us. But now I will certainly be in debt until the age of 61 unless I figure things out.

Jamie’s little cousin Jake was over the studio for a recording session the other night. Had some good songs. I asked him what he was up to… work, school, or what? He gave me the details, and ended with an optimistic sounding “I’m just trying to figure things out. You know?”

I do know. I liked the way he put that.

Yield to the Panopticon

This story about outing meth offenders is bound to snowball into every drug offense, and in turn, into internet directories covering all past criminal convictions:

Ought to be interesting.  I look forward to seeing my own “youthful indiscretions” online.  Other parents in my town can more easily decide whether to let their kids hang out with mine.  That way I don’t waste time trying to earn the trust and respect of my commmunity… an overvalued commodity at any rate.

12.03.2006 – Special thanks to Luke Badger for introducing us to the art of Daniel Campion. Hailing from New Zealand, Daniel has been kind enough to allow us a special selection from his work for our exhibit.

So Long, Skip

Skip and I got some beers in Barnstead tonight.  He’s off to Denver in two days.

Good luck, man, and thanks for everything.
